Elior secures six-year catering contract with Dundee United Football Club

Elior has won a six-year contract to provide hospitality services at Dundee United Football Club’s 14,000-capacity Tannadice Park stadium.

While terms of the deal were not disclosed, Dundee United described it as the club’s largest ever commercial agreement.

Elior will start catering at the stadium this month, ahead of summer events and the kickoff of the new football season.

As part of the agreement, Elior announced plans for a ‘significant’ investment to upgrade both front and back-of-house facilities.

The caterer intends to implement new technology to accelerate service and develop fresh matchday menus, while collaborating with local businesses to source Scottish produce.

Mark Cunningham, head of commercial at Dundee United Football Club, said the deal would bring an overhaul of matchday experiences, including the return of Tennent’s lager at the stadium.

Managing director stadia at Elior UK, Craig Stewart, said: “Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be collaborating with the club to develop a number of innovative food offers that will elevate the matchday experience.”

This marks the latest addition to Elior’s stadia portfolio in Scotland, which already includes Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Hibernian Football Club in Edinburgh, and Rangers FC in Glasgow.

Earlier this year, Elior secured a contract with Birmingham City Council to provide catering services at Alexander Stadium.
