Coal Rooms reopens today with new tasting menu

The Coal Rooms restaurant in London's Peckham is reopening its doors today.

Rather than ease slowly back into reopening their restaurant, Coal Rooms has decided to open Thursday to Saturday evenings.

On offer is a special 5 course Chef's Tasting Menu, created by Head Chef Adrian Hernandez Farina (most recently at Temper and Breddos Tacos) with Liam Walker (formerly at The Ritz).

Expect dishes such as Fig Leaf, Sea Bass Tartare, Fig Oil, Pickled Shallots, Jalapeno Granita; 58 Aged Ex Dairy Rump, Mushroom XO, Celeriac, Confit Onion; Ember Roasted Beetroot, Ajo Blanco Foam, Hazelnut Oil, Black Garlic, Nasturtium; and Langoustine Lollipop, Guanciale, Lobster Mayo.

From August, the menu will also be available on Wednesday evenings to be eligible for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

According to the latest guidelines, the restaurant will be operating at a reduced capacity so tables are limited, and there will be the highest hygiene measures in place.
