International chef joins Belong care home group

Care home operator, Belong has opened its bistro doors to international chef, Christoph Deiter, following his appointment as the new Bistro and Catering Manager at the not-for-profit organisation’s state-of-the-art care village in Didsbury.

Christoph Deiter, who will be responsible for the Bistro and Catering department at Belong Morris Feinmann, brings a wealth of experience to the post, acquired in the USA and Europe over three decades.

Having trained in his native Germany in 1983, Christoph has managed a number of substantial catering operations, working with annual budgets of up to £2 million and holding positions ranging from teaching the culinary arts in California to developing award-winning menus in Salt Lake City as Head Chef of acclaimed restaurant, Oasis Café.

Making the move into the care sector, Christoph was most recently the Executive Chef Manager at a Jewish care establishment in Manchester.

Deiter said, “Belong is committed to high quality catering, which is one of the reasons that attracted me to the position. I’m looking forward to getting to know the people at Belong Morris Feinmann, and its ethos, and I believe that food is a great way to make that connection.

“As catering manager, it is my wish to make mealtimes special for customers and visitors alike, which will include the creation of more traditional Jewish dishes for those wishing to adhere to cultural traditions, together with food of an international flavour.”
