£475k Powys hotel changes hands

The Lion Hotel in Builth Wells, Powys has been sold to family-run company, The Property Supplier Ltd.

The hotel was marketed by Fleurets on behalf of a private individual off a guide price of £475k.

The 18-bed hotel has an enviable town centre position, which overlooks the River Wye.

Shaun O’Neil, Managing Director of The Property Supplier, commented, “Having bought The Lion Hotel we now want to further develop the trade to the next level, for which we will engage the local community in this process.”

Shaun, Leon and Chantel O’Neil are also looking to buy a further four hotels throughout the remainder of 2019.

Andrew Whelan of Fleurets, who brokered the transaction, said, “We were delighted to be instructed on this hotel and we are actively looking for more hotels like the Lion Hotel to introduce to good potential purchasers such as Shaun.”
