Edinburgh-headquartered Apex Hotels has partnered up with a Livingston-based company to provide guests with ‘free from’ snacks.
The family-owned hotel group, which currently has a portfolio of 10 properties throughout the UK, is stocking Scottish brand Fodilicious in its guest rooms.
The innovative, sustainable food business was founded by Lauren Leisk who was inspired to create meals and snacks for people who, like her, suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Whilst researching ways to alleviate her symptoms she discovered the low FODMAP diet and thus created Fodilicious – a selection of the world’s first FODMAP-friendly certified meals and the UK’s first FODMAP-friendly certified snacks.
Apex Hotels is providing the brand’s newest creation, Cookie Buttons, as a complimentary snack in all upgraded rooms across the whole portfolio which spans across Edinburgh, London, Bath, Glasgow and Dundee.
The Cookie Buttons, which launched this year, are made with all natural ingredients and no refined sugars. They are also allergen free and cater to a wide range of diets including gluten free, dairy free, nut free and vegan diets as well as being low in calories.
