As part of Riverwalk Shopping Centre in Durham, The Food Pit has just opened, hosting independent food traders, serving up delicious world foods, alongside a bar.
The seven food kiosks and fully licensed bar are situated around a communal open plan seating area.
The food traders include Mr Waffle, which serves up waffles and ice cream; Bojangles Coffee House with hots drinks, bagel sandwiches and sweet treats, Durham Sausage Company, offering giant toad in the hole, meatball bombs and a butchers platter.
Manao Thai is serving everything from authentic curry dishes to dim sum, and there's Greek food from Spread From The Med with Halloumi stacks, beer battered Halloumi fries and Shawarma - chicken marinated in mild spices.
There are also British Gourmet Burgers, and Fish & Chips kiosks.
Beyond The Food Pit, The Riverwalk has welcomed a brand new six-screen Odeon Luxe Cinema alongside restaurants Inshanghai, Thai River, and the newly opened Cosy Club with the soon to open Delaney’s Donkey and Flip & Stack alongside.
