Bakery specialist, Delice de France is using the advent of Veganuary 2020 – where some 350,000 diners pledge to go vegan (up from 200k in 2019) – to challenge operators on their readiness to capitalise on the surge in interest around plant-based foods.
The supplier is unveiling a complete range of award-winning vegan bakery solutions, headlined by two new rich vegan square pies; a Fake & Ale pie is generously filled with ‘steak- style’ strips, baby onions and cooked in a vegan ale sauce, while a Saag Mangalore pie (pictured) combines cauliflower, spinach, chickpeas & lentils in a delicious and spicy aromatic sauce.
The innovative range also includes cakes, slices, breads and croissants, offering up peace of mind to food-to-go operators and arming them with the tools to cater for, and profit from, vegan diners through Veganuary and beyond.
Joining the two new square pies as star products within the range are Delice de France’s Great Taste Award-winning indulgent Lemon, Chia Seed & Pistachio and Chocolate Cookie Loaf Cakes, alongside a Vegan Sausage Roll.
