Pan-Asian restaurant chain, Wagamamas, is venturing into brunch for the first time ever.

Starting on July 17, brunch will be available at select locations from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, marking the earliest opening time for the brand. The brunch menu will be offered across 22 key locations in London, as well as the North and South of the UK.

The brunch menu will feature a variety of smaller, larger, and sharing dishes. Highlights include the chicken katsu waffle, which can be enjoyed either sweet or savory.

The seafood and grill restaurant group Lussmanns is poised to make a comeback in London after a 20-year absence as part of its expansion plans.

The business was founded by restaurateur Andrei Lussmann in North Kensington in 2002. It later relocated to Hertfordshire in 2004 and subsequently expanded, opening five sites across the county.

Now, Lussmanns has acquired the former Côte site on Highgate High Street, which accommodates 130 covers. The restaurant is set to reopen in August, marking Lussmanns' return to London after a two-decade absence.

The Danish Japanese restaurant group Sticks’n’Sushi, renowned for its distinctive blend of quality sushi and grilled sticks, will debut its 14th UK location in Islington this September.

The Azzurri Group has signed an agreement with the American chicken brand Dave's Hot Chicken to open 60 locations across the UK, with the first one scheduled to launch in London early next year.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded in 2017 by three childhood friends, Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy Rubenyan, in a carpark in East Hollywood.

The brand is renowned for its spiced-to-order chicken, offering seven levels of spice ranging from No Spice to Reaper, the latter requiring a signed waiver from guests.

Jean-Michel Orieux, who has served as a non-executive director of the Lebanese, Middle Eastern, and North African restaurant group since August 2022, is succeeding Dr. Beatrice Lafon as chair. Dr. Lafon has resigned from Comptoir Group after less than two years to 'pursue other business interests.'

Tom Kerridge has announced a new appointment at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, his London restaurant located within the prestigious Corinthia London.

Tom Childs, previously the Sous Chef at the restaurant, will step into the role of Head Chef as Nick Beardshaw departs to establish his own restaurant. Nick has worked with Tom Kerridge for 14 years, serving as Head Chef at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill since its opening in 2018, and gaining notable success on the Great British Menu.

The parent company of Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck restaurant in Bray has reported a pre-tax loss of £1.4 million due to “tough economic headwinds”.

In documents submitted to Companies House for the year ending 28th May 2023, SL6 Ltd, the company behind the three Michelin-starred Fat Duck and the Michelin-starred Hinds Head pub in Bray, reported a slight decrease in turnover from £11.5 million in 2022 to £9.5 million in 2023.

SL6 Ltd had incurred a pre-tax loss for two consecutive years, amounting to £1 million between 1st June 2020 and 30th May 2021.

Di Maggio's Restaurant Group has completed the acquisition of Glasgow's two Paesano restaurants along with Sugo on Mitchell Street. The group has revealed intentions to expand both brands following the acquisition.

Restaurateur Paul Stevenson has sold the pizza and pasta restaurants to Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta. Paesano, known for its Neapolitan pizza, first opened on Miller Street in 2015 and expanded to Great Western Road in 2017.

Californian fast food brand Carl’s Jr is set to launch its first restaurants in the UK through a partnership with Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG).

BRG, known for operating brands like Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Carluccio’s, has signed a master license agreement to introduce the Carl’s Jr burger brand across the UK and Ireland.

Lendlease has announced the signing of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants for the landmark Pavilion building at Stratford Cross. The 10,000 sq ft space will be the site of the 6th London location for Gordon Ramsay’s popular Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.

Occupying all three levels of Stratford Cross' Pavilion and set to open on June 3rd, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. The venue will also feature spaces for private dining and events, as well as a community workspace within the ground floor café, which will serve coffee and pastries from 8am Monday to Friday.

The Barrie brothers have announced their plans to relaunch their renowned restaurant, Marram Grass, on the Isle of Anglesey later this summer.

The site will reopen as Y Marram at its original location in Newborough, initially operating as an events space before transitioning to a daily dining offering.

Thomas Kelly, chief executive of Honest Burgers, stated that the casual dining chain aims to expand its business quadruple the size of its business within six years.

The brand, which presently has 39 restaurants throughout England and Wales, has ambitious plans to grow its presence beyond its London base by expanding further north, according to chief executive Thomas Kelly.
