MeatLiquor to open in Clapham this month

On 6 October, the rock ‘n’ rollers of the burger world Meatliquor will set up camp south of the river in the lively neighbourhood of Clapham Old Town, SW4 with their boldest opening to date.

The launch marks 10 years since Meatliquor sparked the burger revolution, with their first ever restaurant, and set about cutting its burger-making teeth, paving the way for hungry success.

Upon entry, MeatGoers will undergo a sensory overload packed in amongst two split-level bars, an expansive 170-cover dining area and outdoor garden space, the all-important ‘poke for Jägermeister’ table buttons, five large sport screens and live music events including DJ nights at the weekend.

In true MeatLiquor fashion, burger aficionados can expect the best loved classics lining the menu including a selection of plant-based, vegan options to cater for everyone.

All made with 100% Scottish beef, MeatLiquor patties form the ultimate base to all their burgers such as the 1924, where a decadent 1924 blue cheese sauce is paired with minced pickled onions; the crowning glory Dead Hippie, where a French’s mustard-fried double patty is served with MeatLiquor’s iconic Dead Hippie sauce, American cheese and minced white onions and, of course, the Green Chilli Cheese, where a double patty is smothered with American cheese and spicy green chilli butter then finished off with red onions and pickles.

For those who prefer a plant-based meal there is the Tempeh Tantrum, a double patty club cultured tempeh coupled with a juicy mushroom and beetroot pattie, ‘cheese’, lashings of burger sauce and sprinkled with pickles or the Burgaloo – piled high with a roast potato and white onion pattie, sweet pickled pink onions, crunchy lime pickles, smooth soy yoghurt, hot red chillies and Jini Sev.

Diners can opt for the chicken burger base and tuck into the Tower Block with a crispy fried breast topped with hash brown, jalapenos, creamy slaw and Russian dressing or Parma which features a fried breast with a slab of breadcrumbed mozzarella, rich marinara sauce, showered in parmesan.

No MeatLiquor experience is complete without an order from the expansive drinks offering - there are beers ‘frothies’, shots, cocktails, wines, hard shakes or steins, and diners can even sit at their table with a finger on the Jägermeister buzzer.

Co-founder Scott Collins said, ‘We’re all revved up for the new opening. This site will be a great addition to the south-west with a massive garden, two bars, a pool table and televised sports on five screens. Add all of that to MeatLiquor's insane cocktails and draft beers galore, Old Town will be a one-stop fun-stop!’

London-born burger pioneers, MEATliquor continues to be an ever-popular cult destination serving up the holy trinity of burgers, beers and cocktails to the hungry people of London.

MEATliquor Old Town will open its doors on 6 October, from 12pm - 12am, Monday - Sunday.
