Cromlix has just opened it doors as a five star hotel which owned by Wimbledon champion Andy Murray and is situated just outside his hometown of Dunblane.
Set amid a 36-acre woodland estate, the luxury hotel is a short drive from Gleneagles, where the Ryder Cup is being staged next September.
The hotel has 15 luxurious rooms, including five suites. Guests also have access to a library with billiard table, whisky room, bar and drawing rooms. Unsurprisingly, tennis is also offered, with double hard courts, finished in the green and purple Wimbledon colours, with a professional circuit surface.
For dining, the hotel is home to Chez Roux from Albert Roux and his son, Michel Roux Jr - the sixth Scottish Chez Roux establishment. Darin Campbell, formerly head chef at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles and executive head chef at One Devonshire Gardens, is the executive head chef.
Private dining and events can be arranged for parties of between 10 and 60. A marquee can be set up in the garden for wedding parties of up to 300. Cromlix's chapel, attached to the main house, can accommodate up to 30 people for weddings or private services
Cromlix is being managed by Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI). The company manages eight other properties in Scotland, including The Atholl in Edinburgh, Greywalls in Muirfield and Rocpool Reserve in Inverness.
