Trudi’s Café in Paignton, Devon, has reopened under new ownership and with a new name and fresh look.
The cafe, which sits in a prominent position in the heart of the town, was bought in January by the Aunger family through Charles Darrow.
Catching the seasonal - and plentiful - footfall in the area, the cafe’s floor space has seen a complete refurbishment from the new owners, who have created a unique atmosphere with seating for 40-plus internally, and outside, its canopied frontage also provides shaded seating for an additional 8-plus.
The former Trudi’s Café site, which established a strong daytime trade by the former owners, has now been affectionately named after the Aunger's daughter, Our Katie's.
The daytime venture serves a selection of locally sourced coffee, tea, homemade cakes and cream teas, along with a range of light breakfasts and lunches.
