Hickory's Smokehouse is looking to open a new barbecue restaurant at The Rock in Telford, with the creation of up to 100 jobs.
It would be the first time the company, which serves Deep South-style American barbecue food, has built a restaurant from scratch.
The plans are expected to be given the green light when Hickory's bosses comes before Telford & Wrekin Council's planning committee on 5 September.
Hickory’s, which currently has seven restaurants across the Midlands and North West, serves burgers, ribs and brisket, and typically employs teams of between 80 and 100 people.
