Manifesto launches life drawing & pizza series

Manifesto, London’s definitive organic pizzeria, has launched a new series of monthly life drawing sessions with artist, Ru Knox, kicking off on Wednesday 24 April. The series will combine pizza, art and good wine, three of life’s greatest pleasures a the perfect mid-week activity with a difference.

Located on Northcote Road, Manifesto launched last summer with the aim of showcasing the best seasonal ingredients in the world through a laid-back neighbourhood pizzeria. Founder and owner Vittorio Maschio has partnered up with British artist Ru Knox, classically trained and known internationally for his portraiture, who will be bringing his contemporary style to the first three life drawing classes.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of wine to get the creative juices flowing, before the evening kicks off with a series of short, dynamic poses by a professional life model. Ru will be on hand to help students and offer his expertise.

There will be a break for pizza halfway through, when guests can choose pizzas such as a butternut squash, ricotta, sausage and red onion Orange Spring from Manifesto’s seasonally changing menu.

A bright yellow turmeric-based special Sunny Bacon, topped with gorgonzola, walnuts and cured pork belly. For those who prefer something more classic, the hugely popular Pig & Field, with tomato, Puglian mozzarella fiordilatte, ham Pedrazzoli and mushrooms, is a long-standing favourite.

Manifesto’s life drawing classes will be held on the last Wednesday of each month – 24th April, 29th May and 26th June - kicking off at 7pm for a 7.30 start.
