Gino D'Acampo set to open four new restaurants this year

In February, celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo is set to open a new restaurant in Manchester, marking the beginning of his ambitious venture to establish four additional locations across the UK in 2024.

Following an £800,000 renovation of his current First Street Bar & Kitchen, Gino D'Acampo will open 'Gino D'Acampo, Manchester' at the INNSiDE by Melia Manchester hotel, which boasts 208 rooms.

With a seating capacity of 200, the establishment is characterised as a 'premium Italian' restaurant and bar. It will offer Neapolitan pizzas and introduce innovative 'table theatre plates' to enhance the dining experience.

Plans include the redevelopment of an 80-seat outdoor dining area into an all-weather terrace.

D'Acampo said: 'I have a long relationship with the city having opened one of my first restaurants here almost ten years ago and I'm delighted to return to the heart of Manchester, as planned.'

In 2021, Gino D'Acampo entered into a partnership with Spain's largest hotel group, Meliá International. Subsequently, he has successfully launched restaurants within the INNSiDE by Meliá hotels located in Liverpool and Newcastle.

Luciano, positioned as an upscale Italian restaurant, made its debut at the ME London hotel on the Strand in 2021.

Additionally, the chef's company oversees an Italian restaurant in collaboration with hotel giant Marriott International, situated at the Leeds Marriott Hotel.

The Gino D'Acampo restaurants brand, affiliated with the Upmarket Leisure group established in 2021, is gearing up to launch three more restaurants across the UK in 2024.

INNSiDE by Meliá currently boasts hotels in 37 locations, spanning 16 countries, and has plans for seven additional properties in the pipeline.

Garry Fortune, UK director of operations at Meliá Hotels International, said: 'Gino and his team are a trusted and much respected partner with a proven track record for delivering on performance.'
