Arabica Food & Spice Company to open first permanent eatery in June

Market trader and food importer, Arabica Food and Spice Company is following a 14-year residency selling mezze from a cool box on Borough Market, with the launch of its first permanent restaurant on nearby Rochester Walk.

The menu will offer veggie mezze, rare-breed meat and fish cooked over single-variety English charcoal. The team will also be serving up: Dexter beef and bone-marrow kofta, sautéed chicken livers with pomegranate molasses, courgette, feta and dill börek, Istanbul-style mussel rolls, and candied Anatolian mandarin with buffalo ricotta and crushed pistachios.

Arabica will be fronted by a strong team with experience in top London venues such as Lima and The Experimental Cocktail Club . There will also be a street cart outside, selling falafel and wraps on market days.

The outlet will be open six days a week for lunch and dinner Monday – Saturday. It may also eventually open for Saturday brunch and on Sundays in the late summer/autumn.
