SABMiller considers London HQ closure with 800 jobs affected

SABMiller is considering plans to close the London-based head office of its brewing business following a £70bn takeover from AB InBev, casting doubt on the future of 800 jobs.

AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, based in Belgium's Leuven, has previously said that it might move to London as part of takeover deal.

The combined firm will cover 30% of the world beer market and earn close to 45% of the industry’s profits, sell one in every three beers on the planet, and eclipse its rivals across most of the major markets in Africa and both North and Latin America.
