SABMiller agrees £70bn pricetag for AB inBev takeover

Further to Belgian-Brazilian brewer, AB InBev's fourth bid for London rival SABMiller, that upped the proposal to £67bn, SABMiller has now agreed to a £44-a-share offer, making the deal worth around £70bn.

If it goes through, this mega-merger will become the world’s largest brewer by a significant margin and would make about 30% of the world's beer.

SABMiller has a workforce of close to 70,000 people in more than 80 countries, and global annual sales of more than $26bn (about £16.9bn). AB InBev has a workforce of 155,000 and global revenues of more than $47bn (£30.6bn).
