London & Regional rumoured to be bidding on two £600m Hilton Metropoles


London & Regional Properties firm is believed to be bidding on two Hilton Metropoles in London and Birmingham for around £600m.

The two Hilton Metropoles hotels that London & Regional Properties are rumoured to be bidding on the Hilton London Metropole in Paddington, which has around 1,059 rooms, and the Hilton Birmingham Metropole which has around 790 rooms. The two major hotels have been put on the market in January 2016 by the family-owned Tonstate Group.

The Tonstate Group acquired the hotels from Hilton in 2006. The long-term management contract with Hilton Worldwide to operate the hotels is expected to continue following any sale.

The acquisition of these two emblematic hotels would be a great win for the London & Regional Properties. These two hotels could be joining an already great hotel portfolio which include the London Hilton on Park Lane, Hilton Green Park in London, Cliveden House in Berkshire and many more.
