New MD & GM for L+R Hotels sites

L+R Hotels, which has 10 hotels in the UK, has just announced two key senior appointments.

Grant Campbell has joined Nobu Hotel London Portman Square as General Manager, whilst Matthew Beard - who held the role of pre-opening General Manager- is promoted to Managing Director and will be re-located to Strand Palace Hotel in London.

Opening in summer 2020, the 249-room Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, situated in the heart of central London’s vibrant Marylebone area, will feature a signature Nobu Restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace, plus a 600-person ballroom, gym, wellness facilities and meeting spaces.

Campbell brings to the role a wealth of diverse experience in the hospitality industry, including launch and rebranding expertise and a strong understanding of the luxury lifestyle space.

Beard’s move to Strand Palace Hotel follows his promotion to Managing Director, after being with L+R Hotels for over three and a half years.

Desmond Taljaard, Managing Director L+R Hotels, commented, “We are thrilled to have Grant join us. He brings with him the right combination of operational, brand and commercial experience and extensive knowledge of the London hotel landscape. We congratulate Matthew on his much-deserved promotion and continuing his career with us at Strand Palace.”

L+R Hotels owns and manages an extensive hotel portfolio with approximately 17,000 bedrooms across the UK, Continental Europe, the US and the Caribbean.
