Melitta hires new UK team & launches new cafe bar range


Melitta Professional Coffee Solutions has unveiled a new operations team alongside a brand new range for foodservice – a premium, four-strong selection of speciality coffees aimed at serious coffee enthusiasts.

Melitta’s new team is led by David Rich, Melitta Sales Director, HORECA Division. He commented, “My team is re-energised and tremendously excited about this innovative new range. Inspired by the finest European speciality coffee, the Café Bar Selection has a depth of flavour that instantly whips drinkers away to a Parisian side street café or bustling Italian trattoria or bar.'

Melitta’s new Café Bar Selection perfectly complements the company’s existing range and contains carefully selected 100% Rainforest Alliance certified Arabica beans, with a flavour profile to suit even the most discerning drinkers.

Rich continued, '‘Premium’ is an often overused word in coffee, but this range has been crafted with such care and attention to the finer elements, that its quality really sets it apart. The smoothness that only 100% Arabica beans can provide is evident in each blend. Melitta’s Medium Roast is a fruity yet smooth, highly drinkable blend, well balanced for milky drinks such as cappuccino or latte macchiato. By contrast, a higher strength Dark Roast provides rich and savoury notes.

Melitta’s slow roasted Espresso Classic Roast is aromatic and spicy, providing an excellent crema, while Espresso Extra Dark Roast combines Arabica beans from Latin America, Asia and Africa in an intense blend with hints of dark chocolate.
