St Christopher’s at The Village scoops key award

Backpacker hostel operator, St Christopher’s Inns has today announced that its flagship site in London Bridge scooped the Best Accommodation award in the 2019 British Youth Travel Awards.

The glamorous awards night hosted at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich recognises the best performing companies in the youth travel sector.

After a £6m refurbishment at St Christopher’s at The Village back in 2017, the hostel has been transformed into the ultimate backpacker budget accommodation with a real party atmosphere and a new focus on sustainability.

The Village introduced the UK’s first capsule beds and renovated the hostel bar, Belushi’s, which won Best Sports Bar in the Great British Pub Awards earlier this year.

St Christopher’s Inns also took home the Silver Award for the Best Use of Social Media. This year, the group has been focusing heavily on implementing its user-generated content strategy, and working closely with influencers to make its online presence more relatable and engaging.
