Footwear retailer to open Black Friday pop-up cafe

Shoe Zone will be providing shoppers with a place to escape the pressure and hustle and bustle of Black Friday by opening a pop-up called Slipper Cafe.

The cafe will be situated in the Hello Darling restaurant and bar, from 2013 Masterchef winner Natalie Coleman, on Waterloo Road, London, SE1.

To enjoy the pop-up, customers will be asked to buy a pair of slippers and in return they will be able to drink as much tea and coffee as they wish.

They will also have access to board games, such as Connect 4 & Snakes & Ladders. Soft blankets will be offered and it will be a no-phone zone.

There will be a customisation station that visitors will be able to use to personalise their slippers, for those people who would like to have their slippers a little less generic than the rest.

Naomi Shefford, Head of Digital of Shoe Zone, said, ‘This time of the year can be incredibly busy as we plan and buy for the festive period. We decided to create the Slipper Cafe as a simple reminder to take a break and spend time with loved ones playing a game and relaxing with a well-deserved cuppa.'
