Barrio Bars expands with third venue

Barrio Bars is to open the doors of its third London Latin-inspired site in Shoreditch next month, following on from Barrio North in Islington and Barrio Central in Soho.

Situated in Shoreditch High Street, the new 300-cover bar will be divided into two separate areas, Barrio Downtown and Barrio Uptown at the back, offering street food, cocktails and late night music.

Offering an extensive cocktail list, Barrio East will also have a Latin and South American street food-inspired menu devised by Mexican-born chef Omar Romero, who is currently working with Gary Rhodes.

Barrio East's all-day menu will serve up a Mexican all-day breakfast, small plates of calamari, ribs and crispy pork belly; Mexican cheese fondue; chicken taquitos; and Argentinean pasties.
