The Forest Side awarded four AA Rosettes

Luxury Lake District hotel and Michelin star restaurant, The Forest Side has been awarded four AA Rosettes at this year’s AA Awards.

The news follows last year’s accolade of the AA Inspectors’ Choice Red Star Award. Since its launch in 2016, the fairy-tale gothic restaurant and rooms has firmly cemented itself as one of the UK’s finest country hotels and it continues to go from strength to strength.

Alasdair Elwick, General Manager at The Forest Side said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive four AA Rosettes and would like to extend our appreciation for the recognition. The past few years have been a roller-coaster and our team have taken each hurdle in their stride and it’s great to see their hard work being recognised.”

The restaurant, overseen by talented Head Chef Paul Leonard, is a true reflection of the hotel’s surrounds utilising produce grown in the expansive kitchen garden or sourced from local suppliers to create dishes that speak of the seasons and showcase the brigade’s culinary excellence.

Sustainability and provenance sit at the heart of the restaurant and hotel, and this accolade is testimony to the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional menus without comprise.

Accompanying the restaurant are 20 bedrooms, each eloquently designed by James Mackie and offering a luxurious contemporary country feel, aptly complimented by the rugged surrounds and magic of the Lake District.

Located in the heart of Grasmere, The Forest Side is surrounded by a wild wood forest, kitchen garden and farmland, providing the perfect escape for those looking to immerse themselves in the outdoors, before returning to the hotel for exquisite food & wine and warm hospitality.
