Second Rudy’s Vegan Diner opens today in North London

Following the success of the brand’s debut site in Camden and the opening of the world’s first vegan butcher in November 2020, Rudy’s Vegan Diner is opening its second restaurant on Islington’s Upper Street today.

The menu offers the brand’s signature veganised versions of classic American junk food dishes, with highlights such as the Ultimate Burger, a take on the classic hamburger with a grilled soya beef mince patty, the Rubenzsandwich with seitan pastrami on fresh rye bread, Mac ‘n’ Cheeze and dairy-free freakshakes.

The new Islington diner also offers cocktails on tap from Liberation Cocktails.

The diner and adjoining vegan butcher, covers 14,000 sq feet and emulates a classic American diner with vibrant yellow booths, striking neon signage and backlit menu boards, as well as a working jukebox for customers to use.

As well as in-restaurant dining for walk-ins only, customers will be able to purchase the brand’s signature range of meat-free alternatives such as pastrami, baycon and meatballs from the adjoining Rudy’s Vegan Butcher or order online for click & collect.

A home delivery menu will also be available across a North London post codes alongside DIY kits for creating Rudy’s classic dishes at home.

Rudy’s Vegan Diner Islington is the latest in the exciting expansion of the Rudy’s Vegan brand, following the opening of Rudy’s Vegan Butcher concession in Selfridges Foodhall earlier this month.

Rudy’s plans to open 3-4 more sites in the next 12 months as well as focusing on the developing new products for retail and B2B.
