Living Ventures submits further plans for Australasia at iconic Liverpool venue

Living Ventures is planning to open two £6m restaurants in Liverpool’s iconic Cunard Building, creating 150 jobs.

Earlier in 2015, the council had signed a deal with the group for two 'world class restaurants' and bars opening at the venue.

Plans have now been submitted to Liverpool city council seeking some alterations to the listed building to accommodate the 500-cover Australasia restaurant on the ground floor.

Australasia already operates a site in Manchester and serves modern Australian cuisine combining Pacific Rim flavours 'underpinned by European cooking tradition', along with a range of cocktails.

The second restaurant planned for the Liverpool property, Cunard House, will be headed up by Liverpool celebrity chef Aiden Byrne, and will be situated on the first floor.
