Living Ventures is planning a new site for its cocktail bar and restaurant brand Alchemist at MediaCity in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester.
The company has applied to Salford council for a premises licence for the site at The Bund, Dock 9, Media City, close to The Lowry Arts Centre .
The 100-seater restaurant will have a further 45 covers in the bar and 65 out on the terrace overlooking the water.
First launched in Spinningfields five years ago, The Alchemist now has five sites nationwide including two in Leeds and one in London.
The Alchemist MediaCityUK will follow openings in Liverpool (this month), Birmingham and Alderley Edge, continuing the brands rapid expansion funded by Palatine’s recent £18m private equity boost.
