26 Grains launches Festive Feasting at Stoney Street

Stoney Street by 26 Grains has Christmas all wrapped up at its Borough Market restaurant with the ultimate Festive Feasting set to be a true celebration of family, food and friends.

Following the success of 26 Grains in Neal’s Yard, Alex Hely-Hutchinson launched the refined big sister in the heart of London’s best-loved food market, Borough Market. Named after the street it calls home, Stoney Street is open from breakfast through to dinner serving up with a larger all-day small plate menu that focuses on simple seasonal dishes with carefully considered produce.

Staying close to what matters most at Stoney Street, Head Chef Tom Cenci (Noble Rot, Duck & Waffle) has remained loyal to the 26 Grains ethos and Hely-Hutchinson’s passion for good honest food in creating a festive menu that reflects the very best of provenance-led cooking style with a primary focus on seasonality.

Available from 15 November, Festive Feasting at Stoney Street has been created for groups of all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re dining solo, as a couple or feasting with friends, the choice of three menus will merrily satisfy all tastes and occasions.

Perched at one of the restaurant’s two counters or seated in the main restaurant, guests to Stoney Street will feel right at home, surrounded by decked shelves laden with boxes of home baked granola, jars of locally-sourced honey and loaves of bread stacked high to taking home.

A family style menu priced at £55 per head for groups of six or more with big appetites includes: Toasted Panettone with whipped brown butter; Buratta, Poached Quince, Maple Walnuts, Green Sauce; Roast Chicken, Pink Fir Potatoes, Chestnut Stuffing, Roscoff Onion Broth & Cranberry Jam with Shredded Sprouts, Clementine & Apple; Dark Chocolate & Ginger Ganache, Five Spice Cream, Biscuit Crumb with a delicate mince pie to round things off.

Smaller groups alongside intimate diners will be best placed to settle in for the Christmas set menu from £39 per head with the option of Slow Roast Duck Leg, Cavolo Nero, Lentils, Jerusalem Artichoke Crisps, Salsa Verde in place of the roast chicken as the main event or Frikadelle Meatballs, Mushroom Sauce, Parsnip Puree, Ridged Cucumbers & Red Currants for non meat-eaters.

Christmas feasting at Stoney Street is available for lunch, Monday to Friday and dinner Wednesday to Saturday.
