Fast casual Mexican eatery brand, Tortilla has reported its annual figures, showing a like-for-like sales uplift of 3.5%. The company celebrated like-for-like growth of 8.1% over the festive period.
Tortilla, which currently operates 32 sites across the UK and two in Dubai, saw UK sales exceeding £25.3m for the year.
During the period, the company sold over 5m burritos and hand-prepared over 100 tonnes of freshly made guacamole.
Managing Director Richard Morris commented, “It’s been a good year for Tortilla and we are delighted to have finished another year with like-for-like growth, having ended it with some crackerjack sales.
“There is no doubt the sector is a little uncertain at this time, with all manner of punches being thrown in our direction. We will continue to do everything we can to offer great value, fresh Mexican food in all our restaurants, and hopefully in a few new locations in 2017.”
