Edwards & Blake celebrates highest grossing year to date

Edwards & Blake has announced that 2015 will be the highest grossing year in the company’s 19-year history with a combined full term value of new contracts wins of over £7m.

During September, it will have started new contracts at 11 education and business clients across East Anglia, the Midlands and the South East of England and whilst working on a full sales pipeline we anticipate further client openings before the end of the year.

The very latest contract is with St Alban’s Catholic School in Ipswich, where the catering firm started serving breakfast, break and lunch meals to the 1,000 pupils at the beginning of the autumn term.

The contract wins include nine new clients in the education sector including our first Further Education college in Essex as well as two new, significant business contracts; Domino Printing Sciences in Cambridge where over 450 are served the group's latest food offers across two locations and Duxford-based Hexcel Composites where it is advising on a purpose-built staff restaurant from which will serve 350 staff. This is due to open by the end of 2015.

Edwards & Blake has also been awarded the contract to provide a premium vending service at Hexcel since June 2015.

These new contracts take the total number of sites where the company operate to over 100.

Shirley Edwards, Co-founder and Director said, “We’re absolutely passionate about our core values of quality, innovation and providing a bespoke service.

'We also have a strong internal ethos which we call the 4C’s – Customers, Consistency, Continuous Improvement and Colleagues. These values have helped us to grow the business, to secure these new contracts and to make 2015 a landmark year for the company.

“We’ve had a rewarding first six months with our client wins. We can’t wait to start working with our new clients in the remainder of the year and to provide their students and staff with delicious, nutritious, innovative, freshly-cooked food on a daily basis which is what we do best.”
