Hertfordshire schools win for Edwards & Blake

Norfolk-based contract catering firm Edwards & Blake has won new contracts to provide lunchtime food services at three schools in Hertfordshire.

The independent operator beat out competition from national providers to secure the commission for provision of services to over 2500 pupils at Joan of Arc Catholic School in Rickmansworth, The Hemel Hempstead School and Hatfield Community Free School.

Director Caroline Blake commented: “We will work with each school to provide a flexible and tailored approach, offering a cost-effective and dynamic service. Although we ‘do-different’ we will always stay true to our core values and that’s what I think the schools liked.”

Peter Sweeney, Headteacher of St Joan of Arc Catholic School, said: “Edwards and Blake have delivered fresh food every day and their passion for food is infectious. For a lot of pupils and staff eating in the cafe is now one of the highlights of their day.”

Edwards & Blake now operates over 85 contracts and has over 500 staff.
