Vapiano secures third London site


German owned pizza and pasta chain Vapiano, has secured its long-awaited third London site and is set to start building work on the site on Wardour Street in Soho in the coming weeks.

It is investing £2.5m in the site, which was formerly a nightclub and hopes to open the restaurant by December this year. With an area totaling 7,000sq ft of space the restaurant will have a capacity for 250 diners and will employ 80 members of staff.

Vapiana opened its first London site in Great Portland Street and now also operates a site on Southwark Street. Altogether, the company has more than 120 worldwide locations in 26 different countries.

Managing director Phil Sermon said: “We are thrilled to have secured such a fantastic site in the heart of Soho. This is just the start of our expansion and highlights our intent to open many more Vapiano restaurants in prime positions across London and the UK.”
