Well-established SE London c-store sells after 25 years

Christie & Co has completed the sale of Shabs Convenience Store, located just 15 miles east of Central London in the South East area of Belvedere in the London Borough of Bexley.

Shabs Convenience Store is situated in a busy residential area with high footfall from locals and commuters using the nearby Belvedere station, where overground journeys to Central London are as short as 37 minutes.

The business has been run by Gulam Suleman for 25 years, gaining a loyal customer base over the years.

The store offers a wide range of convenience and household goods, chilled foods, newspapers, cigarettes as well as Oyster and National Lottery tickets. However, there is great scope for new owner, who wishes to remain private, to increase trade further and continue to grow the established business.

Jack Dudley, Associate Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale commented, “I'm delighted that we were able to complete a successful sale on behalf of the Suleman family and wish them well with their future plans.

'The market for similar stores with potential to either grow the business or for alternative development remains very active so it’s a great time to think about selling.'
