SSP Group, a global operator of food and beverage outlets in travel hubs, will launch a range of new and upgraded units as part of the £100 million terminal extension and refurbishment at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Leeds Bradford Airport is constructing a three-storey extension to its main terminal, set to be completed ahead of the busy summer travel season to accommodate rising demand and enhance the passenger experience.
With 75% more space allocated to food, beverage, and retail outlets, SSP is expanding its presence through a new 14-year contract, offering a broader variety of dining options designed to cater to all tastes.
SSP will manage a diverse range of offerings, from casual airport dining with its new American-style concept Monty’s Diner to convenient grab-and-go options at Upper Crust, alongside a Starbucks.
The company will also introduce its first AMT Coffee outlet in a UK airport and launch a brand-new premium bar and kitchen concept. Additionally, a Burger King restaurant and SSP’s craft beer and kitchen concept Tap and Brew have already opened in the new terminal extension, marking the first phase of the airport’s food and beverage transformation.
Kari Daniels, chief executive of SSP UK & Ireland, said: “We have a long-standing partnership with Leeds Bradford Airport, and we’re excited to be growing our footprint with these new and refreshed units as part of the airport’s major redevelopment.
“Providing choice is one of our core goals to ensure that we meet the needs of every passenger. We have opened our first two outlets, and look forward to bringing a few of our most popular own brand concepts to the airport for the first time alongside a fresh look for some enduring favourites.”
