Claude Bosi names chef André Garrett as Group Culinary Director

Chef André Garrett has been named Group Culinary Director of the Claude Bosi restaurant group.

He brings over 20 years of industry experience, having most recently held the position of executive chef at Corinthia London. Prior to that, he was executive chef at Cliveden House in Berkshire, where he led the relaunch and refurbishment of both the hotel and its flagship restaurant.

Before that, he served as head chef at the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows, which closed in 2024.

A winner of the 2002 Roux Scholarship, André Garrett also holds a Master of Culinary Arts from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. He represented the UK in the prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition in 2007, achieving a 10th place finish.

At Claude Bosi restaurants, Garrett will collaborate closely with executive chef Claudio Illuminati and executive pastry chef Jamie Warley.

Garrett will also head up the kitchen at the second Josephine Bistro, which opened this April in London’s Marylebone, working alongside head chef Connor Jack Twomey.

The appointment follows two years after the launch of the original Josephine on Fulham Road in Chelsea in 2023. Inspired by the traditional bouchons of Claude’s hometown of Lyon, the restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2025 Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland.

In an announcement on Instagram, Claude Bosi said: “Lucy and I have known Andre for a long time and followed his career. French culinary expertise will be a massive asset to our business and [we] look forward to be working together.”

The Claude Bosi restaurant group includes the two-Michelin-starred Claude Bosi at Bibendum, the two-Michelin-starred Brooklands by Claude Bosi at The Peninsula London, and the Josephine Bouchon restaurants.
