Hilton London Bankside appoints new General Manager


The Hilton London Bankside hotel has announced the appointment of Raoul de Souza as the hotel’s new General Manager. De Souza brings with him 25 years of experience in hospitality, having worked with properties around the world, including JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and Taj Palaces & Hotels in India.

He has been an integral part of the Hilton London Bankside opening team since May 2015, beginning his tenure at the hotel as Director of Food and Beverage, overseeing a team of 92, and playing a key role in the initial opening phase of the hotel. He was then promoted to Hotel Manager in May 2016, a role in which he successfully supported the daily operations of Hilton London Bankside, before receiving the well-earned appointment to General Manager this month.

His new role will include maintaining the hotel culture, investing in its people, and providing an unsurpassed experience for all hotel guests. A big focus will also be on continuing to nurture the hotel’s relationships with its neighbours and the wider Bankside community.

Having completed the Henley Business School Strategy Program at the University of Reading and with a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from the National Council of Hotel Management, India, De Souza is a knowledgeable and skilful leader with the ability to deliver consistent and targeted top and bottom-line results for the property.
