BH Group has announced the acquisition of five properties from Coast and Country Hotels.
The portfolio includes the Windermere Hotel in Cumbria, the Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne, the Imperial Hotel in Exmouth, as well as the St Ives Bay Hotel and the Ship & Castle Hotel, both located in Cornwall.
BH Group’s current portfolio includes The Swan in Newby Bridge, Hampton by Hilton Blackpool, two properties in Manchester, and three hotels in Falmouth—among them the renowned St Michaels Resort.
James Routledge, chief information officer at BH Group, said: “These hotels form the basis of our drive into the growing staycation market. We are excited by these opportunities and others we are currently seeing in the market.”
Jeremy Jones, director and head of hotel brokerage at Christie & Co, who managed the sale, added: “This latest transaction takes us to a total of 31 successfully completed Coast and Country sales to a wide range of buyers. BH Group pursued these hotels with vigour and we are delighted to have reached this successful outcome. We know they have very exciting plans for these hotels.”
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The Coast and Country hotel collection was previously operated under a management agreement with Bespoke Hotels, with 18 of its sites placed on the market in 2023. In September of that year, four properties from the collection were acquired by Bespoke Hotels.
