The Royal Bell returns as a boutique hotel and private club

This autumn, Bromley’s Grade II-listed Royal Bell will unveil its transformation after years of restoration, reopening as a refined blend of hotel, club, and coworking hub.

The project has been driven by South London-based investment group, BELLE Collective, with interior restoration curated by Hampton Design Studio.

With roots stretching back to 1666, the five-storey building was given a grand new design in 1898 by the celebrated Ernest Newton.

With 14 thoughtfully designed boutique rooms, the Royal Bell also boasts a lively bar and grill, a pizzeria and café created with celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, a courtyard garden bar, and The Royal Hall—an elegant venue for private events.

A collection of exclusive members-only spaces will launch at The Royal Bell, featuring a private bar and terrace, a library for intimate screenings and dining, coworking lounges, The Clubhouse sports bar and social space, a fitness studio, and a versatile boardroom.

With tiers starting at £110 per month, membership options include flexible day passes and a limited offering for those under 30.

Mark Goldberg, co-owner of The Royal Bell, said: “This venue holds deep historic and cultural significance. We’re proud to restore it with care and vision, creating a place where heritage and modern hospitality can thrive together. We did this not because it made sense on paper, but because it meant something real to us and the people of Bromley.”

The BELLE Collective is led by Goldberg, alongside Jon Yantin and Nick Gold. Yantin, who recently supported the European launch of Virgin Hotels and the debut of Sircle Collection’s first UK operations, will oversee operations at The Royal Bell.

Nick Gold, a founding partner of China White, The Hippodrome, and The Box Soho, serves as a strategic advisor to The BELLE Collective.
