Global brewing company SAB Miller has made a £6billion takeover bid for Foster’s group. The news was announced this morning and comes after Foster’s rejected an earlier offer from the brewer in June claiming it was too low. The bid goes directly to Foster’s shareholders as there was no willingness to engage in relation to SAB Miller’s proposal on the part of the Foster’s board.
