Brazil's JBS, the world's largest meat packer, has agreed to pay about £944.7m for Moy Park, the British business of rival Marfrig Global Foods.
Moy Park is the UK's largest producer of poultry and will give JBS access to key markets in Britain, Scandinavia, and other European countries where consumption of processed food is growing.
Moy Park's headquarters are based in Craigavon, County Armagh, and it supplies chicken products to supermarkets across Europe. The group employs over 8,000 staff in Dungannon, Ballymena and Craigavon.
