Moy Park sees UK & Ireland revenues rise by 8%

Northern Ireland poultry firm, Moy Park has reported that fourth-quarter revenues, for the 13 weeks ended 27 December 2014, were up 3.4% to £372.3m and total annual growth was up 2% to £1.42bn.

UK & Ireland revenues of £288m rose by 8% on Q4 2013, in part due to the strong sales volume growth of fresh poultry and convenience coated products. European revenues of €107m were down by 4%.

CEO Janet Mc Collum said, 'Moy Park finished 2014 very well as our commitment to deliver the highest quality product offering to customers and consumers has enabled us to grow the business through a challenging trading period.

'We have produced another strong free cash flow while continuing to invest in our infrastructure to facilitate future growth.'

The company is widely believed to be planning an IPO for this year.
