Pieminister to launch £300k flagship restaurant in Nottingham next week


Award-winning pie manufacturer and eatery operator, Pieminister is to launch its flagship £300k restaurant in Chapel Bar, Nottingham next Friday.

The new outlet will be the group's 12th site and will open with a 15-strong savoury pie menu, which also offers five potato-topped hot pots.

The pie selection includes Traditional Moo which is packed with British beef and ale, while Moo & Blue has the addition of Long Clawson Stilton, and then there is the Spanish-inspired Matador is filled with steak, chorizo, olives and butter beans.

Vegetarians have four imaginative recipes to choose from, including Green Goddess, an open top pie with spinach, feta, butternut squash and chickpeas.

Sides include mash, minted mushy peas and courgette fries, plus there are three different gravies.

To finish, there are ice cream pies in toffee apple, lemon meringue and the firm's own version of a Mississippi mud pie, Glastonbury Mud.

Founded in 2003, the brand currently operates seven cafes, two of which are based in London universities, and four restaurants, with the new Nottingham site and a soon-to-be-opened Bristol branch making six in total.
