Pieminister secures £1.65m for further expansion


Pieminister, the award-winning pie making and retail business, has secured £1.65m through HSBC to expand its estate and kitchen.

The Bristol-based company will also use the funds help expand capacity of its kitchen, which the company hopes will improve efficiencies and offset the impact of price inflation.

This month, Pieminister has opened a new outlet in Brixton and a further two sites are scheduled to launch, which will bring the portfolio to 16 sites.

Pieminister additionally has its pies in 16 pubs from Brighton to Leeds, it also caters for events, and has a home range sold through Ocado.

The brand is serving up are four Christmas pies for the festive season: Christingle with roasted parsnips, leek & chesnut, Deer Santa with venison, dry cured bacon, red wine and green lentil, Mistle Moo with beef steak, bacon, port & chestnut, and The Cracker with turkey, ham, parsnips, cranberries & sherry.
