Rosewood London welcomes new executive chef

Rosewood London, 2017 Cateys Group Hotel of the Year, has appointed Martin Cahill as executive chef.

Cahill, the former executive chef of Dukes Dubai, replaces Amandine Chaignot, who left the position earlier this year following three years in the role.

The 306-bed, five-red-AA-star hotel will welcome Cahill on 23 April, when he will oversee the kitchens and restaurants, including Scarfes Bar and the Mirror Room.

He said, “I am delighted to be joining Rosewood London, as I make a return to the UK’s hospitality industry. Rosewood London has such a vibrant and dynamic kitchen team, and it will be a pleasure to work alongside them.”

Since 2015, the UK-born chef has overseen the opening and food and beverage operations at Dukes Dubai, including nine F&B outlets and leading a team of 65 chefs. He previously spent 10 years with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, most recently as executive chef of the Mandarin Oriental Taipei in Taiwan.

He began his career at the Savoy and Dorchester hotels in London before moving to Canada. He has spent most of his career abroad, including Australia, Bermuda and Hong Kong.
