Bestway Wholesale helps operators go green with biodegradable tumblers

Bestway Wholesale is stocking new recyclable and biodegradable plastic tumblers, in a move to fulfil significant demand for sustainable products and boost its customers’ environmental credentials.

The Nupik iPlastic tumblers are a flexible option for caterers, including pubs, QSRs, cafes and pop-ups, enabling them to serve drinks in disposable containers whilst being conscious of the environment. Operators can choose from pint size, half pint and 7oz iPlastic cups.

The iPlastic polypropylene tumblers are highly recyclable and should be disposed of through a standard recycling system. If for any reason iPlastic isn’t recycled within 2 years and thrown away irresponsibly the technology within the tumbler will allow it to biodegrade into water, CO2 and biomass, leaving no microplastics or plastic pollution behind.

Kenton Burchell, Trading Director at Bestway Wholesale, said, “We’re always looking for new, environmentally friendly products to give our customers choice and help them meet environmental targets.

'These new, Nupik iPlastic tumblers complement our existing range of biodegradable paper bowls and plates also by Nupik, recyclable paper straws and wooden cutlery, providing a full range of environmental products for customers.

“These products are ideal for meeting consumer demand for more conscious operators. Even if they don’t have the facilities to recycle, the consumer will know that the cup they throw away will decompose within two years.”
