Lunar Pub Company to launch second site in Belgravia

The Lunar Pub Company, co-founded by Owner Director Hubert Beatson-Hird and Owner Chef Director Oliver Marlowe, will open its awaited second site, Ganymede, in London's Belgravia on 7 September.

Located on Ebury Street, the 2,500 sq ft site designed by NOVO Design House is split between a 30-cover bar and a 55-cover dining room.

Trading seven days-a-week for lunch and dinner, including Saturday brunch and Sunday roasts, Ganymede will offer refined and innovative British food.

Putting the spotlight on the highest quality ingredients, the menu has been created by Marlowe and newly appointed Head Chef Daniel Mertl, who has previously held positions at renowned restaurants such as Chez Bruce, Noize and Michelin-starred The Glasshouse.

Ganymede will serve a daily changing menu of elevated British dishes like Crab & basil raviolo, leek fondue & creamed bisque; Quail & foie gras wellington, creamed potatoes & roast shallot; and Cornish hake with white bean puree, roast salsify, burnt lemon & caper dressing.

Desserts will include a white chocolate crème brûlée with blueberry compote.

A blackboard will also champion a range of premium meat cuts and daily changing specials.

The intimate 30-cover bar area will play host to an extensive wine list and signature cocktails, alongside a range of top shelf spirits, as well as lagers and real ales.

Beatson-Hird said, “With life reopening and the appetite for unforgettable dining and drinking experiences greater than ever, Ganymede couldn’t be launching at a better time.

'I can’t wait to show people what we’ve been working on behind the scenes for the past 18-months, and I’m confident Ganymede will be a stellar addition to Ebury Street.”

Marlowe commented, “To reflect the Belgravia location, we’ve introduced an elegance to the interiors, and this is something Head Chef Dan Mertl has also channelled into his menu too.

'Having had the pleasure of previously working with Dan at The Glasshouse in Kew, I know how talented he is and I’m excited to showcase the elevated culinary creations we have designed for Ganymede.”

Ganymede will join the company's first site, The Hunter’s Moon in South Kensington, which launched in 2019.
