Golf View Hotel & Spa, part of the popular Crerar Hotel Group, has revealed the latest instalment of its spa transformation with the country’s very first Stone Bath.
Last month, the luxury hotel unveiled the results of its six-figure spa makeover with the launch of the brand-new, Coast Spa.
As part of the £850k investment, the hotel has installed Scotland’s first Kurland-Steinbad Stone Bath which offers guests a chance to relax on the warm benches of the bath whilst enjoying a unique sauna experience, only available at Golf View Hotel & Spa.
Often known as the ‘volcano sauna’ due to the noise of the stones and rising steam, this unique heat experience sees a 400°c stone immersed in ice-cold water to create a burst of steam and mild room temperature.
The Stone Bath has numerous health benefits as it releases minerals and therefore strengthens the immune system, relaxes the muscles and promotes a healthy cardiovascular system.
The new addition to Coast Spa sits alongside the new Himalayan Salt Therapy Room, which offers a plethora of calming and detoxifying benefits to support the immune system, increase energy levels and reduce stress – giving guests the chance to refocus and clear the mind.
As well as the upgraded hydro experience, guests can enjoy an invigorating swim, outdoor hot tub, steam room and sauna all of which are positioned along the stunning backdrop of the Moray Firth.
Coast Spa also offers a full range of spa treatments using innovative, organic seaweed skincare products from renowned Scottish brand, ishga.
Coast Spa Manager, Kate Paterson, said: “Coast Spa is the ultimate destination spa and with the arrival of the Kurland-Steinbad Stone Bath, we are positive guests will have a truly outstanding experience.
“The new Stone Bath is the first of its kind in Scotland however it is popular in spas across the globe due to the health benefits and the innovative experience it provides.
“For those looking for a day of wellness and ultimate R&R, Coast Spa is a luxurious new offering that reflects the breath-taking coastal surroundings and Crerar Hotels’ signature authentic Scottish hospitality.”
The Stone Bath is part of Coast Spa’s Thermal Experience which is priced at £65 per person, with ishga treatments starting from £50. A range of spa days and spa breaks are also available to book.
