New Group Executive Chef announced at Cairn Hotel Group


Cairn Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Nick Kimber as Group Executive Chef. With an extensive culinary career spanning more than two decades, Kimber brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position.

Nick Kimber has built a remarkable reputation as a distinguished chef throughout his illustrious career. Notably, he has worked in prestigious kitchens and leading culinary teams. Kimber's expertise was honed during his six-year tenure with Firmdale Hotels in London. He held the position of Executive Chef at the acclaimed Ham Yard Hotel and Soho Hotel, and also served as the Head Chef of Charlotte Street Hotel.

As the Group Executive Chef of Apartment Group, Nick successfully oversaw all sites, including Newton Hall, Le Petit Chateau, Joiner’s Arms, and As You Like It. He also showcased his prowess as the Head Chef of various hotels in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Nick Kimber's culinary excellence has been widely acknowledged and celebrated throughout his career. His talent and dedication have earned him prestigious accolades, including 2 AA rosettes. Kimber's expertise has extended to working at Michelin-starred establishments, showcasing his ability to operate at the highest level of culinary artistry. His exceptional skills were further acknowledged when he was awarded the pastry chef mentor award at the Craft Guild of Chefs graduate awards in 2018.

In his new role as Group Executive Chef at Cairn Hotel Group, Nick Kimber will oversee the delivery of multiple menus across a variety of brands and settings. He will collaborate closely with the operations team to introduce new brands, concepts, and menus. Additionally, Nick will provide invaluable support to kitchen brigades, leading them through periods of change or resourcing challenges by working alongside them in the kitchens.
