Peyton & Byrne secures new seven year deal with IWM London

Upmarket catering firm Peyton & Byrne, has won a new contract with IWM London (part of the Imperial War Museums) in Lambeth, South London.

The new seven year contract will see the caterer operate two new cafes at the venue and provide exclusive events catering. Both the new cafes will open next summer and form part of the venues re-development.

The first new café will have 144-seats and be open daily during museum hours. It will have an outdoor seasonal terrace area seating a further 92, looking out onto the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park. The second café will be on the first floor of the museum, directly off the new terraced galleries. The modern British seasonal menus will appeal to the broad visitor mix, with the food offering will evolve throughout the day.

Commenting on the new project, Peyton and Byrne co-founder Oliver Peyton said: “Working with IWM and Foster + Partners is a privilege – the significant historical environment is inspiring, and we are excited about the opportunity to collaborate on a completely new way of looking at the visitor experience with the museum team.”

The re-development of the museum will also see a new atrium space with large object displays and the launch of the new First World War Galleries, to mark the First World War Centenary.
