Dinner Ladies named official caterer at London’s Foundling Museum

London-based caterer Dinner Ladies has been appointed the preferred catering partner at the Foundling Museum in Bloomsbury.

This marks the company’s third major contract in the past year, adding to recent partnerships with St Albans Cathedral and Apothecaries’ Hall in the City of London.

The Foundling Museum stands on the site of the historic Foundling Hospital, founded in 1739 by Thomas Coram to provide care for vulnerable and sick children. With the later support of artist William Hogarth and composer George Frideric Handel, the hospital evolved into a gallery and cultural landmark.

Rosie Baker, director of commercial and operations at the museum, said: “The brilliant Dinner Ladies will bring their vibrant, thoughtful approach to hospitality to our beautiful event spaces. This collaboration is grounded in shared values. As a female-led charity, the museum sought a partner whose ethos reflected our commitment to community, creativity and care.

“Dinner Ladies – a female-led catering company – champions women at all stages of their careers, with a strong focus on supporting working mothers to return to the hospitality industry through flexible, meaningful employment. Their values align closely with Foundling Museum’s award-winning creative learning programmes, which provide vital support to care-experienced young people, young mothers and families.”

Lily Cai, co-founder and managing director of Dinner Ladies, said: “We are honoured to be working with such a brilliant charity and proud to welcome such a beautiful venue into our collection. The spaces have so much to offer today’s discerning event buyer and we are confident by working together we will gain growth.”

Dinner Ladies was founded in 2015 by Cai and her university friend Emily Plunket.
